Culinary Brilliance Shines at INTI Culinary Clash - The Ultimate Staff Cook-Off!

Subang, Malaysia - June 19, 2024 – The School of Hospitality (SOHOS) in INTI International College Subang ignited culinary passion and creativity with the highly anticipated INTI Culinary Clash: The Ultimate Staff Cook-Off, held at the SOHOS Training Kitchen in Block F.

Organised by the dynamic students and lecturers of the INTI School of Hospitality, this event was a resounding success, showcasing the remarkable talents of INTI staff members. From 2:00pm to 6:00pm, the Training Kitchen was transformed into a vibrant arena of competitive cooking. Participants, fuelled by adrenaline and determination, faced off to create tantalizing dishes using a unique array of products and Cheffaro pastes provided by Eng Sheng who is the event’s main sponsor.

The competition was fierce, but one home chef reigned supreme: Ms. Priyadarshinee Superamaniam from INTI Language Centre captured 1st Place with her captivating Rustic Balinese Baba Nyonya Prawn Noodle. Her culinary finesse not only earned her RM250 cash but also a coveted sponsor-provided goodie bag, adding to her well-deserved accolades. Second place was claimed by Ms. Atiqah Zawani, also from INTI Language Centre, whose Japanese Garlic Fried Rice with Prawn Sambal impressed judges with its bold flavours and immaculate presentation. She walked away with RM150 cash and an enticing sponsor-provided goodie bag. Not to be outdone, Ms. Crystal Tan Yoke Lia from INTI Centre of Arts & Design secured 3rd Place with her delectable Chicken Curry accompanied with White Rice & Japchae, showcasing a harmonious blend of flavours that delighted the taste buds. Her prize included RM100 cash and a sponsor-provided goodie bag.

The judging panel, comprising esteemed culinary experts including Chef Ahmad Zauhudi and Chef Norhana Yatim from the School of Hospitality, meticulously critiqued each dish based on creativity, presentation, taste, and adherence to the theme of Fusion Homecook. "This event was more than just a competition; it was a celebration of culinary passion and camaraderie," remarked Dr. Jane, Vice President of Academic Support and Partnership Unit of INTI International College Subang. "The energy and creativity displayed by our staff were truly inspiring, and we are thrilled by the overwhelming success of the INTI Culinary Clash."

The event not only highlighted the exceptional talents within INTI International College Subang but also fostered a spirit of camaraderie and community among participants. It served as a testament to INTI's commitment to nurturing creativity and innovation across its diverse community.

A huge thank you goes out to all the sponsors - Eng Sheng Sdn Bhd, Ngan Yin Thumbs, Monin Asia, Delfi Marketing Sdn Bhd, Watsons Malaysia and Hilton Kuala Lumpur - whose generous support made the event possible.
